Hotel contracts are great for needs that are well defined - those rooms you are certain will be filled within the contracted block and before cut-off dates. Since many hotel contracts carry penalties for shortfalls in demand, we offer an alternative that is to the advantage of both the planner and the hotel. 

  • What is STAYKER?
    STAYKER is a software as a service (SaaS). We bring live hotel inventory and rates online and easily bookable under your brand without need for RFP's, lengthy negotiations or potentially costly hotel contracts. We are not a third party - we are a technology provider for brands, event planners, facilities, destinations, influencers and many others who wish to serve their customers needs for travel booking capabilities.
  • Where do you get your hotel inventory and rates?
    Hotels enter their own rates and inventory into the travel global distribution system and other direct channels. This may be done at property level or corporately. Stayker accesses the hotels rates and inventory through an API (application programming interface) and displays best available rates as well as our own negotiated hotel rates exclusive to our platform. Customers booking with Stayker have an immediate confirmation number, direclty from the hotel and our service to back it up.
  • What if I have multiple events?
    Great, we can do unlimited events worldwide! We can provide as many separate event booking sites as needed - either for specific dates or open booking portals for any date up to 330 days in the future.
  • We have an IATA, can we use Stayker?"
    Yes! You can earn revenue shares on our Pro plan without an IATA but if you have an IATA Stayker can be customized to allow you to license our software and earn commissions directly. This fully white-label option is ideal for those with large events or ongoing demand.
  • What if I don't own the event or facility but want to get bookings for something that looks like it would have demand for hotels?
    We provide our software for use by official event organizers or their authorized third parties only. As long as you are officially representing the event, facility or destination you can use Stayker. For example, if you want to list an event that doesn't offer hotel reservations services you could approach that event about becoming their official provider using Stayker!
  • Is Stayker secure?
    We are fully secure, PCI and GDPR compliant for all bookings. Our platform is powered by one of the major Global Distribution Systems and we do not store or charge the customer's credit card in our system - the data is passed securely on through that GDS provider directly to the hotel's reservation system for processing.
  • Can I cancel a subscription?
    You may cancel your services with us at any time. Any previously existing reservations would be honored by the hotels of course. Should an event be cancelled, we can contact your customers to cancel their bookings as well.
  • What if my event dates change?
    That's one of the great advantages of STAYKER! We can edit your dates at any time - up to 350 days in the future. Any bookings made could be cancelled and rebooked.

  • What if I already have hotel contracts in place?
    We understand that side of the business very well too. Stayker can be used for post cut-off bookings so you don't lose any of your attendees around the block. It's also great for overflow hotel needs. We also have a system that can manage your group hotel inventory if you are interested!
  • Can I pick what hotels are shown?
    Absolutely! We have over 650,000 hotels in 140 countries and if a hotel isn't available, we can help them onboard to our GDS provider.
  • Will you market to my customers?
    Never. Your customers and their data are not shared, nor do we do outbound marketing to individual customers.
  • I need a lot of hotels, how many can you show on a booking site?"
    It is really up to you - we input the geographic location of the event and then populate hotels within the mileage you specify. That might be 2 miles or 200 and as many hotels as you want to present.
  • Do I provide the customer service for all these bookings?
    As with so many services today, the customer expects to do it all online. Their confirmation is direct from the hotels system (no rooming lists!) so they can contact the hotel direclty to make any changes. You can focus on the many other duties at hand!
  • How do I know who has booked?
    We provide complete reporting to you on the number of bookings generated by hotel, and of course the rates. Customer data is protected, and we can discuss how this might fit with your own company policies and customize how our product works for your needs. Stayker is a great tool for accounting for your economic impact and for future planning.
  • What is my reservation deadline or cut-off date?
    There isn't one! Your Stayker site will be open up until even the day of arrival for your guests. We monitor hotel availability and add hotels when needed, at your direction.
  • How do I get bookings?
    You sign up for a Stayker plan which takes only a few mintues. We send you a simple URL to link to and promote across your website, ticket or registration platform, in emails and social media channels. Your customers book directly on those pages from their desktop or mobile device. No app to download, easy!
  • What if I don't have set dates, and want ongoing bookings? "
    We can do that! Our system has hotel rates and availabiltiy up to 330 days in the future and we can set our system to make that a rolling deadline. Contact us and we will discuss pricing for your needs.
  • Is my credit card information secure?
    Absolutely. We do not store or charge your credit card in our system, it is passed securely to your hotel to guarantee your reservation. One the booking is complete we can identify only the last four digits of your card in order to properly be able to answer questions for you relative to your booking. We do not sell your personal data - ever.
  • How do I book more than one room?
    If you need between 2-9 rooms you can book instantly on our platform. Each room must be done separately however. If you need assistance or have questions, please contact live chat on the booking page.
  • Can I get connecting rooms?
    Please indicate your need for connecting rooms in the 'requests' field. Many hotels offer connecting rooms, and will usually accommodate that request at check-in. Connecting rooms cannot be 'guaranteed' at the time of booking as there may be guests that overstay or other factors that prevent hotel from accommodating the request. Be sure to remind the front desk at check-in that you want connecting rooms.
  • Can I get the hotel's reward points for my stay?
    Typically all our rates are eligible, however this can vary by brand and location. Some hotels even offer double points and that is indicated in our booking system. Each hotel company dictate what rates will generate points for you in their program. Most of the rates we offer do allow you to accrue points - just verify at check-in with the front desk and be sure your rewards number is connected to your reservation record.
  • I am booking several rooms, can I put them all on one credit card?"
    Yes. Unless you will be arriving with the other guests and have the card present, most hotels require you to complete a credit card authorization form in advance. You can then specify how they should process the payment for all or part of your guest stays. Be sure to specify it if you are paying room and tax only, or all charges (which would include incidentals such as room service, parking etc.). If you are not covering all charges, your guests will still need to present a credit or debit card at check in to cover those incidental charges. Once you book with us, please contact your hotel directly to make these payment arrangements.
  • Is this the best rate you have?
    Our hotel rates are the best publicly available rates, and we do negotiate directly with hotels to offer exclusive discounted rates found only here. We typically offer AAA, CAA and AARP or senior discounts. If those rates aren't displayed, it's usually becaus our other rates are better than those discount programs.
  • What are the taxes and additional charges?
    We do NOT add on any booking fees for our services! Your final booking page shows the nightly rate as well as estimated state and local taxes. So how do we make money? We are paid a commission by hotels - and this does not increase your rate. Win-Win!
  • How do I make changes or cancel a reservation?
    Your email confirmation has a link that will allow you to instantly cancel. You can also contact your hotel at any time to make changes or cancel - just give them the confirmation number from your original email. The booking code in the email is only for reference with us and isn't used by your hotel so please use the confirmation number when contacting your hotel.
  • When is my credit card charged?
    We do not charge your card in our system at the time of booking. It is securely passed on to the hotel to be used as guarantee for your reservation. That typically means nothing is charged until you arrive at the hotel where they will swipe your card (contactless check in is offered in many hotel apps). EXCEPTIONS: some hotels will authorize the card prior to check-in, particularly in high-demand events. Also, if you book a full or partial prepay rate (this is shown at the time of booking) and this would then entitle the hotel to charge the card on file based on those terms specified at the time of booking.
  • How do I get my hotel listed?
    We may already have your hotel set-up if it has been requested by one of our customers. If you are in the GDS then we can populate your hotel rates, and we can provide you with rate loading instructions so you can offer us private deals. Just send us an email:
  • My hotel information isn't correct?
    Our system pulls your hotel's information through the GDS - if there are updates needed please contact whomever manages those booking channels to update the information in your GDS platform. Also, you can email us any updates to description or photos:
  • Not all of my hotel's rates seem to be showing up?
    Our system allows us to populate any publicly available rates, however the event organizer (if any) may opt to only show certian rates - for example they may not want to offer rates requiring full prepay. We structure each booking portal to the customer's specifications.
  • Can I use this for my hotel's clients?
    Absolutely! We serve hotels and ownership groups to make their sales processes more streamlined without the need for courtesy blocks or letters of intent/contract bookings. We work on standard commissions, so your property is only paying on actualized bookings.
